The Corsi task examines visuospatial memory by asking you to reproduce an increasingly long sequence of illuminated blocks.
What it measures- Longest correctly recalled forward span
- Longest correctly recalled backward span
- Accuracy and recall time at each span length

Before you begin
Watch the whole grid
- Keep this tab visible and avoid writing the sequence down
- On touch or mouse, select the blocks directly
- For keyboard recall, use the visible block numbers 1–9
This browser grid is a research proxy and not a standardized physical Corsi apparatus. Data will be recorded for academic research.
Corsi Block-Tapping Task
Instructions
Forward and backward recall
- Forward: reproduce blocks in the order they illuminated
- Backward: reproduce the sequence in reverse order
- You receive two attempts at each length; the task stops a direction after both attempts at a length are incorrect
A three-block practice sequence comes before each selected direction.
