This task examines sustained attention by measuring responses to targets that appear after long, unpredictable delays.
What it measures- Median and mean reaction time
- Lapses: responses 500ms or more after target onset
- Anticipations: responses made before or too soon after the target

Before you begin
Minimise interruptions
- Keep this tab visible and avoid switching applications
- Rest a finger on Space, or keep a finger near the response button
- Wait for the orange target; responding early counts as an anticipation
This is a shortened browser research proxy, not the validated 10-minute laboratory PVT or a medical fatigue test. Data will be recorded for academic research.

Instructions
Respond only when the target appears
- A dim waiting circle appears first
- After 2–5 seconds, it becomes an orange target
- Immediately press Space or tap the response button
Three shorter practice trials come before the scored block.
