About the apps library

Research components that work together.

This library brings together browser-based cognitive tasks, self-report inventories, and supporting research material. Each component can be explored here and selected inside the Online Psychology Studies research cloud.

What it is for

A measures layer for online behavioural research.

The apps library is the participant-facing measures layer of the broader research platform. Researchers choose suitable components, create the study sequence, invite participants, monitor progress, and export results through their workspace.

Cognitive tasks

Browser-based tasks for constructs such as attention, reaction time, inhibition, memory, auditory processing, and verbal behaviour.

Self-report inventories

A mixed library of established, adapted, and exploratory measures. Evidence, licence, population, and intended use must be reviewed individually.

Research resources

Articles, notes, study utilities, and supporting material that give context to the measures and their use in research.

Connected workflow

The library is one part of the study lifecycle.

A measure is not a complete study. The research cloud connects each selected app to participant information, active consent, group assignment, completion monitoring, and export.

Use responsibly

A research resource, not a clinical service.

These tools do not diagnose, treat, or replace professional assessment. Scores and task outputs are informational research data. Researchers are responsible for ethics approval, lawful processing, recruitment, measure selection, interpretation, and appropriate participant support.

Before selecting a measure

  • Review provenance, validation, licence, and target population.
  • Check that online administration is appropriate.
  • Document scoring and interpretation decisions.

Before recruiting participants

  • Secure the required ethics and institutional approvals.
  • Provide clear information, consent, withdrawal, and contact routes.
  • Collect only the data the protocol genuinely needs.
